A Dozen Snails

The best wine we ever tasted times 12. Helix Pomatia is a blend of 4 grapes, Merlot, Cab Sav, Syrah and Cab Franc brought to us by the Reininger Winery in Walla Walla, Washington. Another Columbia Valley wine. Costs around $20 — an absolute steal!

Columbia Valley. The new Napa.
Sharing the same longitude as Bordeaux, France, it comes as no
surprise to me that Columbia Valley (Washington) produces some fantastic wine. The two wines above, Columbia-Crest and Chateau St. Michelle, can be found in the supermarket for under $12. Drinkable and delicious. Keep an eye out for Columbia Valley.
